Being just less than 3 years old, but well established and having done many activities and great community services, SLCBFA has been planning its future since its inception. As a result, the farsighted Executive Committee of SLCBFA decided to establish its youth circle as a sub organization to get the assistance of youth in multiple activities and projects that have been planned in years to come.
INAUGURATION
SLCBFA inaugurated the youth circle on the3rd of June 2018 with the participation of Thiniyawala Palitha Thero, the Executive Committee and about 30 youths. Being one of the patrons of SLCBFA Ven. Palitha Thero blessed the mother association and the newly formed youth circle. The President of SLCBFA Mr. Sumathi Dharmawardana addressed the gathering mentioning the success of the recent tour in China with the Hon. Minister of Buddha Sasana Mr. Jayawickrama Perera. The Secretary General of SLCBFA Col. Sudhath Madugalle explained the past and proposed future activities and services of the association. The Assistant Secretary of SLCBFA Mr.Aruna De Silva did a presentation explaining the reasons for establishing a youth circle and its objectives. The office bearers and the working committee of the youth circle were appointed and they further discussed the future plans and the activities to be done.

The Objectives of Forming the Youth Circle
- Training them to assist the smooth functioning and activities of the mother association and to make them the future members of SLCBFA.
- Developing their different skills, self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership qualities for the benefit of themselves, the mother association, the society and to improve bilateral relationship between Sri Lanka and China,
- To improve mutual understanding about social, cultural and religious traditions, practices and activities among the youth of both countries.
- Creating a strong network of young people in both countries to maintain the historical friendship in future.
- To draw their attention towards social services and make them well disciplined and selfless future members of SLCBFA.
- To motivate them to learn Chinese language which will be a necessity in future with the implementation of One Belt One Road initiative and to interact easily with their counterparts in China.
- To give them social recognition which motivates them to engage in more and more social services and the activities which strengthen the bond between Sri Lanka and China.
